My husband, Chris, and I recently found a love for DIY (okay, mostly, me). We’ve built two “builder-grade, cookie-cutter” homes and are starting the process of building our third, fully custom home on our dream acre of land in the country. I don’t believe it’s about getting "Instagram-worthy” photos. It’s about finding joy in the journey of creating and loving the home you live in, as imperfect as it may be!
This blog is intended to be a place to share the history of our first two homes and the journey to Lewis Loft 3.0.

Third Draft of Preliminary Floor Plan
The third draft of our preliminary floor plan is in… and we are definitely getting closer to the final draft! We’re down to some smaller minor changes!

Office Chevron Accent Wall
This was one of those “I’m going to just do this right now without too much of a plan” DIY projects, and I’m still obsessed with it and love that it’s what I get to look at every day while I work.

DIY Shiplap Electric Fireplace
The biggest DIY project to date. But also the one I’m most proud of!
