DIY Shiplap Electric Fireplace

I give you… the biggest DIY project we’ve done to date…

There were definitely hiccups, frustrations, and overcoming big challenges.

We wanted the inside of the fireplace to house our subwoofer for the soundbar, and all the electrical stuff. Hidden inside is a power strip because the outlets on the wall and our internet access are behind this. And in order to do that, we had to have access panels on both sides. You can see what it looks like those removed in the photos. They hide even better than I imagined they would! And then I also wanted a cubby shelf on the side for the game consoles we have. So, I made that happen too!

I’m so in love with how much this changed our living room space and it’s hard to really judge that from a picture!
